Yarden Weinberg 1994 - 1998
Beloved forever, Yarden lived only 4 short years but lived them with a fiery energy and laughter despite having to deal with cancer, surgeries, radiation, all the stuff that one has to deal with in such a situation.
Yarden's first website was called Yarden's Fun Zone, and it was created by a wonderful woman called Claudia who somehow found me (or I found her) via the Internet when Yarden had just been diagnosed and she was looking for kids with cancer who would like to swim with dolphins.
Yarden did eventually get a Make a Wish to go down to Eilat and not swim with dolphins (he was too young) but did get to feed them, pet them and enjoy their playful and wise energy.
While Yarden was sick, I connected with many wonderful people around the world, some of whom I still keep in touch with today. They supported me, and helped me grow and learn, and survive the death of my oldest son, Yarden.
Yarden died on Sept 26th, in 1998, between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, between Friday and Saturday, and although I am in no way religious, it seems fitting that his wise soul should have chosen such a holy time to depart this earth.
Yarden has two living siblings, Naomi and Yoav. They both remember him often - they all three look alike - all lovely kids with big brown eyes and deep souls.
While Yarden left his body in Israel, I feel him often with me, every once in a while a feather or a rainbow, a last leaf in autumn trembling on a tree... There are many signs, and I see them all.
You'll never be forgotten my darling boy! There are so many people who love you so much.
